SCC to Advance to State Competition in FBLA
Posted on 02/10/2022
SCC had an excellent showing at the FBLA District Conference held at SEMO University on February 10!

SCC had two members who ran for District office: Asher B (President) and Chasity B (VP of FBLA-PBL Relations). Chasity was elected into the position of VP of FBLA-PBL Relations for the 2022-2023 school year. Unfortunately, Asher did not get elected into office.

Several students prepared hard for their events. Some took multiple choice tests or skills tests ahead of time and others had performance events held the day at the college.

It was an eventful day on the SEMO campus for SCC. Those students who did not compete on site got the opportunity to play a game show and attend workshops. Mrs. Glasener stated, "I am so very proud of our students. They were dressed up in their business suits and dresses and presented themselves wonderfully."

SCC qualified for state in each of these events:
Hannah C, 5th place in Cyber Security
Maddie F, 2nd Place in Computer Applications & 1st Place in Word Processing
Chasity B, 4th Place in Economics
Asher B, 2nd Place in Intro to Financial Math
Kyle N, 3rd Place in Networking Infrastructures
Skyler W, 2nd Place in Intro to Business Communication
